Primary
My boys sometimes get tired in Church. Scott was sick and I had the kids by myself. (You know you dedicated when you take 4 children 8, 6, and two 4 1/2 year olds to church by yourself). Anyway, I was fighting to keep the boys awake so they wouldn't be grumpy in primary when I had to wake them up. So they went to primary happy as larks... (Mmmm, how happy are larks, if they are really happy then maybe not as happy as larks)... but when I went to watch Deneile give her talk and Ava do the closing prayer the boys had succumbed.

Placemat purses
I love a good deal!! I went to Walmart and they had some of their placemats on sale for $1. I bought some and found a pattern on the internet to make purses from them. They are soo easy and so cute!! I love them so much. I was just called into YW's and so for an activity I am going to have them make these lovely purses. I hope they like them!

The leaves were on the place mat and I think that it is very cute!!

The tinkerbelll and flowers are iron applique's, I think that they add a lot.

"And their not even airplanes!"
We have figured it out, my sisters and me, that my kids are city kids. I know, I know it is sad but it is true. At the end of this summer my sister had Deneile come and stay at her house for a week. They live on a 1/4 acre outside of Vernon. They have a big garden there. My brother also lives in the neighborhood and my sister in law also has a big garden. While Deneile was there Christie went and picked carrots so they had their green tops on. Deneile looked at these tops and Christie explained to her what they were and took her out to the garden to show her that vegetables grow in the garden. My sister thought it was very funny that my children had no idea what a carrot looked like from the garden.

A few weeks later we went out again for my brother's baby blessing and we had a weiner roast out in their back yard. It was getting dark and Dallin runs up to me very excited. He points up to the sky and says,

"Mommy! Mommy! Look at all those stars! And they are not even Airplanes!!". Oh to be a city kid!

Family Reunion
We just got home from being away for a couple of weeks. We went over to Vancouver Island and it was a blast! First we stayed in Duncan at my parents house. My mom was hosting this year for her families reunion. It was so nice to see all my Aunts and Uncles and Cousins. Since we live so far away from them (they all mostly live in Alberta), it was nice to get to know them again. We explored the island. Went to beaches and caves and had an all round good time!

After the family reunion we went to Victoria for a week. We went to clover point and had a fun time exploring there. We tried to fly our kites but there wasn't enough wind.

The whole group that was at the family reunion.
Mom's brothers and sisters and their spouses.
Uncle DeRay showing us his lassoing skills as he lasso's Alia (and the rest of the kids). I told him if he could do both Dallin and Alex he was hired!!

VIP
On June 24 we got to go to the VIP night at the PNE! It was so fun! We got tickets for dinner, games, and unlimited rides! The kids had a blast!
Deneile's Baptism
On June 20th Deneile was baptized. It was a wonderful time.
Scott baptized her and did her confirmation.
My mom and I did the talks.
We had some Rootbeer floats for a treat. (thanks for the help ladies)
We had a lot of family and friends come and support us. We were very lucky to have all the help we had to get everything together!
Then our family all came to our house for supper (which I didn't get pictures of). Thanks to Lori and Roger for the delicious smoked turkey and everyone who brought things for us to share!
I am so greatful for this amazing experience. I am glad that we are able to have the gospel in our lives and that Deneile was willing to accept it and be baptized.
